Namie Amuro – Recovers From Accusation
Namie Amuro ( あむろ なみえ ) is a well-known Japanese singer-songwriter, who is often referred to as the “Queen of Japanese Pop Music”. Born in Okinawa and raised solely by her mother, Amuro debuted as a member in the girl group Super Monkey’s at the age of 14.
Earlier on July 28, however, when her latest single “Break It/Get Myself Back” was released, Amuro was accused of copying the single cover “Kanariya” of fellow idol Ayumi Hamasaki ( 浜崎 あゆみ ) 11 years ago (photo below).
When this kind of accusation repeatedly happens in the entertainment industry, it makes people wonder whether posing like that in a boxlike background was initially Hamasaki’s album designer’s idea, or it was simply an overreaction of some sensitive netizens who perhaps don’t appreciate Amuro’s new single that much.
Even so, Amuro’s new single is selling quite well in Japan. Amuro also seems to have recovered from the accusation, and now she has graced the cover of the October issue of the popular Japanese fashion magazine ViVi once again. Let’s have a look at the leaked photos first.
Inevitably, some people have already responded to these photos saying that they hated the poses. From an outsider’s point of view, I actually don’t think they’re that bad.
