Model Truong Tung Lan, 22, will compete in the 38th Miss Asia-Pacific International contest this year, which will be held in Korea from October 1 – 15.
Lan was crowned Miss Ha Long and listed in top ten of Miss Vietnam contest 2010. The graduate from Hanoi’s Open University stands 1.70 meters in height and is a professional model and emcee.
Lan will perform a traditional folk dance in her talent competition. Designer Lan Huong and Ivy Moda fashionbrands are sponsoring Lan.
Miss Asia-Pacific International, the first and most long-standing beauty pageant of Asia, gathers more than 70 contestants from nations and territories around the world.
The contest aims on promoting regional peace, and goodwill on commercial and tourism issues among the countries. It also introduces and develops many charitable projects in underprivileged nations.
The panel of judges will pick out the top fifteen models, and then narrow them down to the top seven and finally, the top three.
Besides the beauty queen, first and second runners-up, the contest will also label Miss Photogenic, Miss National Costume, Best in Korean Traditional Costumes, Best in Evening Gown, Miss Jewelry, Miss Talent and Miss Beach.
The finale will be held at Busan Yacht Center in Busan, Korea on October 15.
